About Christina Boyd Holland
Christina Boyd Holland is a professional Actress, Director, and Theatre Teacher.
Christina and her husband, Peter, have their own theatre company, Once Upon a Blue Ridge. They have presented their original plays for adults and young people to audiences all over the Carolinas and Virginia for the past 20 years.
Christina was a public school teacher for 16 years, teaching theatre and chorus at Patrick County High School, VA and South Stokes High School in Stokes County, NC.

THE FILM
The film of the live show, Girl of the Holler has been shown at Atlanta’s All the Laugh’s Comedy Awards film festival, and in May 2026 was shown at Brooklyn’s Mosaic of Laughter Short Film Festival. The film won an Award at the Mosaic of Laughter Short Film Festival – Stand-Up Shorts Winner 2026. Girl of the Holler has also won an award at the international film festival Best Hollywood Day Short Film Festival- Best Docudrama 2026

Just got word this morning that Girl of the Holler has won another award from another festival called Best Hollywood Day Short Film Festival. It won Best Docudrama.
